Classics I Want to Read
In my 2017 reading resolutions post I said that I hoped to read 5 classics this year. I honestly cannot remember the last classic that I read for myself and was not for class. I want to be more well read, so I think that reading some classics is the best place to start. I am shooting for more than five, but you have to start somewhere… Here is my list of classics I am interested in reading this year!- Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
- The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
- Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
- Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
- 1984 by George Orwell
- A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens
- A Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde
- The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne
- The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson
- The Time Machine by H.G. Wells
Which of these should I read first? What did you think if you have read any of these? Any classics that weren’t on my list, but should be? Please comment below! I would love to hear from you!
