Fantasy Books with a Female Protagonist
Hey Y’all! I am in a new Goodreads group called Fill-Me-In Friday and I am super excited to be participating in upcoming weeks! (Find the group here) This week’s theme is “Fantasy Books with a Female Protagonist”. I had a great time answering these this week because I love fantasy books! Feel free to leave your answers in the comments below!
1) What was the last book you read relating to this topic? Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake. I read this book in October and I absolutely loved it! The world is so fascinating and the premise of the book grabbed my attention. I gave it 5/5 stars. I really loved this book!
2) What is the next book you think you'll read relating to this topic? Truth Witch by Susan Dennard. This book has been on my TBR since it came out last January and I have yet to read it. I kept telling myself that I would just wait for the next one so that I could marathon them. Of course, that hasn’t happened yet...
3) What is the best book you've ever read relating to this topic? A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas. I am pretty sure that this book wins the award for my favorite book of all time! I love the plot, the characters, the writing, the setting, basically everything about this book! I gave it 5/5 stars!
4) What is the worst book you've ever read relating to this topic? Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo. I don’t think I even made it halfway through this book. I read the first two and thought that they were okay, but this one did not do anything for me. I think it was too over-hyped, so this book let me down pretty hard.
5) What's your favorite cover of a book relating to this topic? Uprooted by Naomi Novik. Not only does this book have a beautiful cover, but it has a beautiful story. It is an incredibly well rounded book, with the perfect balance of action, mystery, and magic. Another 5 star read for me.
