Top Ten Things That Will Make Me Instantly Want To Read A Book

This week, I loved the topic that The Broke and the Bookish came up with for their top 10 Tuesday and I am so excited to be participating this week! The theme this week is about the things that make you want to read a book, whether it be the format, the qualities of the main character, or who recommended it to you! Keep reading to see the top ten things that make me want to read a book!

1. Extras- Emails, letters, pictures, anything that switches up the normal format of a book.
2. Playlists- I love it when authors include a playlist in their books!
3. Family/ Friendship themes- I am always here for a good romance, but sometimes it is nice to have an awesome best friend or parents that actually care.
4. Funny- I will surely pick up a book if it has a hilarious main character.
5. Time Travel- I love books that have to do with time travel because you get to go to so many different places and times.
6. Assassins/ Spies- I love fast paced, adventurous books and you can bet your buttons that a good spy novel will be exciting!
7. Fairy Tale Retelling- There is something about a twist on a beloved tale that is just so much fun!
8. Supernatural Elements- Books that have vampires, werewolves, fae, and warlocks are incredibly addictive and dramatic.
9. Beach- I am always eager to pick up a cute, beachy novel!
10. Characters that read- I simply adore when we see a main character reading. They don’t even have to be an avid reader, just knowing that books exist in their world makes my heart happy!
