Fill-Me-In Friday: YA Contemporaries Set in Summer
Hey Y’all! I am in a new Goodreads group called Fill-Me-In Friday and I am super excited to be participating in upcoming weeks! (Find the group here) This week’s theme is “YA Contemporaries Set in Summer”. I have not read that many contemporaries, as I am more of a fantasy person, but I am so looking forward to answering these questions.

1) What was the last book you read relating to this topic? Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson. I read this back in July, but like I said, I don’t read much contemporary.
2) What is the next book you think you'll read relating to this topic? The Night We Said Yes by Lauren Gibaldi. I am not sure this is set entirely during the summer, but it gives me really fun, summery vibes, so I am going to count it.
3) What is the best book you've ever read relating to this topic? Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson. I absolutely love this book! I love the friendships that are formed during this book between the adorable cast of characters! I also love the idea of getting this list and doing all of the things on it. The book was amazing, due to both the plot and the characters. 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for a good summer read.
4) What is the worst book you've ever read relating to this topic? Along For the Ride by Sarah Dessen. This book was not terrible, but it was pretty mediocre for me. It was fun and summery, but there didn’t seem to be much a storyline. One of the main characters, Auden, got kind of whiny at times to me, but I really loved the other main character, Eli. I gave this book 3/5  stars. I did not love it, but I did not hate it either.
5) What's your favorite cover of a book relating to this topic? The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson. This cover is so summery! Between the dogs and the yellow and the ice cream truck, what’s not to love? I think it might be one of my favorite covers of all time!
